CRITICAL SPEAKING - ACADEMIC SPEAKING- WEEK 12
My lecturer was defining critical speaking means someone can make a clear communication. He can expresses his ideas concisely and articulately to ensure the intended message is easily understood. Also having the ability to convince others through logical reasoning, and provide evidence and compelling arguments. He also utilizing effective body language, tone, and pacing to captivate and connect with their audience.
1. Critical speaking empowers you to influence others and make a lasting impact in various situation. This means when someone is having a good and critical speaking, it can influence people to communicate or listen to him.
2. It honest your ability to analyze, evaluate, and present ideas effectively
3. It can develop your critical speaking skills boots self-confidence and enhances your personal and professional growth.
There are 3 key elements of critical speaking, knowing this means that you can consider weather you are a critical in speaking or you are making in critical speaking:
1. Eye contact
Establish trust and connection by maintaining an eye contact with your audience.
2. Body Language
Use confidence gestures and posture to enhance your messages.
3. Storytelling
Capture attention and create a memorable experience through compelling narrative
For me, I think I am in making critical speaking because when I use English to communicate I often doubt and not so confident in use body language or making gestures. Because I just do not really understand on how to express my feelings. But I can make an eye contact with someone whom I communicate with also capture their attention when I am talking with them.
